It's not mind-blowingly innovative but I don't know why I hadn't thought of it sooner. While breakfast is arguably Mr Zissou's favourite meal and he's always trying to feed me bacon and french toast, I'm not really a morning eater and prefer something light. I get bored very quickly with cereal and like the idea of getting my 1 of 5-a-day pieces of fruit early which is how I arrived at Tempest's Cinnabanana-nut Yoghurt (c'mon, it needed a name):
Throw the following in a bowl, mix and enjoy:
- One sliced banana
- Three tablespoons of plain yoghurt or fromage frais
- A sprinkle of crushed walnuts (or unsalted nuts of your choice)
- A dash of cinnamon
- Optional teaspoon of honey OR peanut butter to sweeten
You can also add some oats or bran if you prefer something more substantial. Enjoy!
